Sunday Morning Entertainment

Stalking across the windows
Chasing unseen prey
As we watch over coffee
From across the street
He climbs the screen
To try to reach a tree branch
Best show of the morning
Sure beats TV!

Last Sunday morning, Maurie and I took the bus up to the top of the hill for coffee at our local Caffe Fiore. We sat on stools at the bar in the front window, watching the world go by.  In the window of an apartment across the street, I noticed a kitten playing on the back of a sofa.  This was the inspiration for this poem, and post.
