Tree Music

I sit in the crook of the trees
Where the maple and the fir diverge
Beneath my branch
You play your flute
A joyous melody rises
From below and surrounds me
Leaves and branches above
Stir in response
Adding soft percussion
To the bright song

Looking out from tree in Schmitz Park
Looking out from tree in Schmitz Park
